Do I need special outlet adapters?

No, you do not need special outlet adapters for the Mexico trip. The Mexican plug types are the same types you find in the USA.:

  • Type A: 2-prong, polarized, pno ground pin
  • Type B: 3-prong, with ground pin

To be technical, the electricity in Mexico runs at 127V at a frequency of 60Hz, which are close enough to the USA's 120V/60Hz to be considered compatible.
