Q: Do I need a Travel Visa?

Short Answer: NO.

No, you do not need a travel visa to visit Cozumel, Mexico, for tourism purposes.

Detailed Answer

If you are traveling to Mexico for tourism, you typically do not need a visa if you are a citizen of the United States or Canada and are staying less than 180 days. However, there are a few important requirements:

A Valid Passport

A valid passport is required for entry into Mexico. Ensure that your passport is valid for the duration of your stay. If you do not have a passport, you should apply for one right away. Like, make it your top priority. Passport processing times have been reportedly impacted by staff reductions, etc., so it's best to apply ASAP.

A Tourist Card

Upon arrival in Mexico, you will receive a tourist card. It is called a Forma Migratoria Múltiple, or FMM for short. You must fill it out and keep with you during your stay. This card is usually provided by the airline. About half way into the flight to Cozumel, the flight attendants will hand them out. If they don't, we can get one on arrival at customs.
