What is "Not-Inclusive?"

While a lot of the resort is all-inclusive, there are some things that are not included in the price of your stay.

Massage and Spa Services​

The resort has a spa that offers a variety of massage and beauty treatments. These services are not included in the all-inclusive package and will incur an additional cost. If you want to treat yourself to a massage or other spa service, you can book it directly with the spa while on premise. There are discounts off their listed prices. With the package we booked you should get a packet of resort coupon vouchers. These are discounts on paid services. In my opinion, the discounts bring the prices of their services down to about what you'd pay at home. Won't be cheaper; it's resort pricing. Figure $100 USD per hour for massage, for example. Pretty cheap vacay, really though; you should treat yourself.

Special Events​

The resort contracts several vendors to provide special events. One such event was a stage show focused on making cocktails. Entertainers performed cover songs while participants mixed a classic cocktail. These shows can be charming and full of "good sports" that play along. They run around $40 or so per person.

Special Alcohol & Tobacco​

There are top shelf alcohol options available on site, including a large collection of tequilas. They are priced some by the shot, and some by the bottle. They range in price, but are generally less expensive than you would find in the United States. Some are packaged for travel (duty free), and some are made to share at the table.

There is also a cigar vendor on site that has and sells Cuban cigars, if that's of interest to you. They are priced mid-range in my gauge.

Souvenirs and Gifts​

There is a gift shop. It's good for a few souvenirs, but the prices are a bit high. There is a decent gift shop in the airport, along with duty free stores for booze, cigarettes and cigars, sunglasses, and prescription medication, so keep all that in mind. There are also vendors that show up at night in the villa and sell clothing, jewelry, etc.
