What Should I Pack For the Pool?
Inflatable Pool Floats/Loungers
Get one of them $30 inflatable pool loungers, and you will be the envy of the pool. They are super comfortable, and the resort doesn't really have any available for use.
Personal Pool/Beach Towel(s)
The resort provides towels for the pool and beach. You check them out to your room, and if you don't return them you get charged a fee. Their towels are fine, but you can bring a much nicer one and not worry about someone taking your resort towel to avoid their lost towel charge.
Swimsuit Cover-Up
A swimsuit cover-up is a great way to stay comfortable while walking around the pool or beach. Sometimes the breeze kicks up and you want a bit more warmth, or you want to stay out but your sunscreen is wearing off. A cover-up can be a light dress, a sarong, or even a pair of shorts and a t-shirt; it doesn't need to be a traditional cover-up, so find your best style and comfort.
Pool/Fin Shoes (Aquatic Footwear)
There are two sorts that can make pool and beach time more comfortable. The first is a pair of pool shoes, which are like mesh slip-ons. They are great for walking around the pool deck and beach without getting your feet burned on the hot concrete or sand. The second is a pair of fin shoes, which are like aqua socks but with a thicker sole. They are great for walking on rocky beaches or in the water without getting cut by sharp rocks or shells, and they keep you from getting blisters and hotspots while wearing your fins. Both are optional, but they can make your time at the pool and beach more comfortable.
